I’m am very excited to share that I have started a new position as “IT Consultant” at Eminent Technical Solutions! I know it has been a while since I posted due to relocating to Idaho and then renovating a house. The ETS company information at the bottom. I have relocated from Miami to Southern Idaho to be closer to family. I could not be happier to be filling this position with ETS doing what I thoroughly enjoy! This video will show you what I built, how I built it, and the strategy of the implementation. May hosts are now hard lined in the house other than mobile devices. Now that I have completed the massive CCNA exam, I keep pressing on towards growing my skill set. I have started working on AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator now in order to grow my cloud knowledge. Microsoft programs consume the PC industry and I want to learn more and verify my cloud knowledge. Also to further refine my understanding of Microsoft products. While AZ-900 provides an intruduction of Azure Fundamentals, the AZ-104 exam covers what is already included in AZ-900 and much more. Milestone! Now CCNA Certified! (Posted Feb 19, 2024)
I passed!!! I am officially a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CNNA) after passing the exam this past weekend! I focused my studies on this endeaver for the last 6 months. My motivation was driven by the value of learning the content and the value that this certification presents. Networks are incredible how they are made and work! I a lot of enjoyment learning this subject, it might be quite “dry” but not when you find it interesting like I do. My key resources were Cisco’s Official Cert Guides (V1 &VII), David Bombal‘s CCNA Course, and also Jeremy’s IT Lab videos on YouTube. Great mixture of resources! A big thank you…

You will see I begin turning on the equipment here in this video. I added another power strip after considering the joule count for possible power issues due to not having a UPS for this set up. CCNA HOME LAB!!!! (With Video) (Posted Oct 25, 2023)

I’m also purchasing other devices to add to this rack. I will have 3 Cisco routers, 1 Cisco layer 3 level switch, another Cisco switch and then a Dell switch as of now. Maybe I’ll add more later if I feel the need. With 3 routers I am able to work on routing protocols and I can see how these routers respond to protocol changes. CCNA, I’m Coming for You!
I’m in the thick of studying for this certification! The content is very stimulating to me and I love learning what is under the hood of networks and how they function to provide operations for all of our current day technology. I think of it much like a vehicle in which nearly all adults know how to drive a vehicle, but knowing how the engine works and functions to the small details they are oblivious too. The great thing about working in tech is that you can come by “FREE” unused or old devices to configure and test at home. While the devices are older, these still will provide me the opportunity to familiarize with this type of technology from default and be free to build. It happened! I landed a job in tech at a Managed Service Provider as an IT Support Technician! The many hours of growing my knowledge base and experience has paid off along with the many hours of growing my brand. God is good!!! My company is Fox Technology Solutions in Miami Florida which is a managed service provider serving many clients in the Miami area. I have already had experience with many different aspects of IT and I know this is a great place for me to begin my career in IT. To new beginnings and exciting challenges!

A few weeks ago I added two more books to my library which are Azure Fundamentals Az-900 and Microsoft Certified Associate AZ104. My journey working with Azure began when I started the IT Professional course with Course Careers and since I have had experience working with Azure I decided to keep going down the Azure path over AWS and Google. Yesterday I made a decision in a new step! Not as big of a decision as a career adjustment, but a time commitment in continuous growth of my tech knowledge and skills. I decided to make an account on Coursera and begin working on the the Google IT Support Professional Certificate.
